Danish Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 large egg room temp
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 - 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Line 2 - 3 baking sheets with parchment paper
  • Beat butter and sugar together
  • Add egg, vanilla + almond extract ( beat on high for 1 minute scrapping sides of the bowl and beat until mixed
  • Add flour and salt in (low speed) then high until mixed
  • Add milk (medium speed) until mixed
  • Pipe into 2 inch swirls about 1 inch apart
  • Add cherry in the center if you desire
  • Chill in fridge about 30 minutes
  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Bake 14 to 15 minutes or until edges are golden
  • Let cool for 10 minutes
